FAQs
Here are some answers to common questions.

What type of warranty do you have?
My desire is for you or the person to whom you give this pen to be completely satisfied. Thus, if you are not satisfied, I will gladly refund your purchase price upon return of the pen in the condition it was sent if sent back to me within 30 days.*

If your pen malfunctions within the course of a year, I will repair or replace it at my discretion. This does not include consumables like ink or misuse or abuse.

*If your pen has been personalized by engraving or decals, I cannot offer a full refund.

The pen I want is sold. How long will it take for you to make another?
Generally I can get a new pen made within the course of a week. As my full time job sometimes requires more of my time than others. If the pen requires segmenting (gluing pieces of wood together like in the guitar pens) it takes a little longer. Or if I need to order a part. It is best to give me as much time as possible with the optimum time being 2-3 weeks. I will very likely get your pen(s) to you quicker than that, but just to be safe.

Do you take custom orders?
Absolutely! About 60% of my orders are custom in some way or another.

In what ways can you personalize a pen?
I can have the pen engraved with a laser for $8 a pen or I can put a custom decal on the pen for $5 a pen. The decal is encased in finish and should never come off.

What do your pens come in?
All of my pens come in a clear plastic tube. I also have boxes available on my extra's page. Engraved boxes take extra time so please allow extra time for your order to be completed.

How should I care for my pen?
DO use your pen. If you let it sit a while the ink may dry and be hard to use.
DO
use your pen with care. If you drop it often, the metal plating may chip or the wood or finish may crack.
DO
wipe down your pen from time to time with a dry lint free cloth to keep it looking nice.
DO
make sure your pen is closed before you put it in your pocket. Some of my twist pen styles the closed position is completely counter clockwise. Some it is in the middle.
DO NOT
leave your pen in your car. Temperatures in your car can range from -60 to 130. You would not like that and neither will your pen.
DO NOT
chew on your pen. Not that anything in the pen would be hazzardous, but it just does not look good after you do it.
DO NOT
store your fountain pen with the nib down. This might cause your pen to leak. Flat on a desk or with the nib in the air is best.
